Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers MurphsOnIt.com, our emails and text messages, and the services we provide to home service businesses.
1. Information we collect

Card payments are processed by our payment processor. We do not store full card numbers.
2. How we use it
- To contact business owners about our services by email, and to answer replies.
- To provide, set up, and support the services our clients buy.
- To answer calls, texts, and chats, book jobs, send quotes and invoices, and send review and follow up messages on a client's behalf.
- To bill clients and keep records.
- To improve our services, measure results, and keep our systems secure.
- To meet legal obligations.
3. Text messaging (SMS)
- We send text messages only to people who have given consent, for example by texting us first, submitting a form with a consent checkbox, or giving their number to a business that uses Murph for messages about their service or appointment.
- Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for help.
- No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt in data and consent are never shared with any third party, except the service providers that deliver the messages.
- We do not send cold text messages.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers that run our business, such as email, hosting, customer relationship and messaging platforms, AI model providers, scheduling, and payment processing. They may use it only to provide their service to us.
- The client a customer's information belongs to.
- Authorities when required by law, or to protect rights and safety.
- A buyer of our business, under this policy, if the business is sold.
5. Client data
When we handle a client's customer information, we do it on the client's behalf and under the client's instructions. The client is responsible for having the right to share it with us and for its customers' consent to calls and texts. We use client data only to serve that client, and we do not use one client's customer list for another client.
6. Email choices
Every email we send includes a way to opt out. Reply "no thanks" or "unsubscribe," and we will stop within 10 business days.
7. How long we keep it
We keep information as long as needed for the purposes above, then delete or anonymize it. Clients can ask us to delete their account data when they leave, subject to records we must keep by law.
8. Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including access controls, two step sign in, and encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure.
9. Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Email josh@murphsonit.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state law.
10. Children
Our services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date above shows the latest version.
